Summary of Comprehensive Benchmarking Study Available at Company’s Booth; Attendees Also Encouraged to Test Latest Analytics Solution for Carriers

CLEVELAND, Ohio, March 1, 2016 – Results of the 2015 TMW Transportation & Logistics Study, featuring extensive financial, operations and maintenance intelligence from a panel of carriers and non-asset based enterprises representing more than $31 billion in combined revenue, will be issued during the Truckload Carriers Association 2016 Annual Convention, March 6-9, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nev. Free summaries of the study will be available throughout the show at the TMW exhibit (booth 101).

The company also will demonstrate an additional, carrier-focused benchmarking resource – the TMW Strategic Assessment Tool – throughout the show. This new analytics solution enables operations and maintenance executives, in consultation with TMW business analysts, to drill down into several key business performance areas to identify opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency and reduce costs.

“Our industry benchmarking study and growing portfolio of business intelligence solutions have been developed to address a broad range of challenges confronting transportation service providers,” said Rod Strata, executive vice president, Operations, TMW Systems. “It’s no secret that shippers are applying powerful new analytics to gain leverage in the transportation marketplace. Carriers and non-asset service providers are smart to do the same.”

Visitors to the TMW exhibit can obtain a free guide summarizing the results of the latest Transportation & Logistics Study. Based on surveys completed by nearly 150 truckload irregular and dedicated fleets, 3PL providers and brokerage enterprises, the study documents across-the-board improvement in financial performance during the preceding 12 months. Nevertheless, an analysis of the aggregated, confidential data also uncovered several areas of concern, including a decline in utilization. Carriers participating in the survey operate a combined total of more than 100,000 tractors and in excess of 200,000 trailers and include Transport Topics’ “Top 100 Carriers.”  Non-asset respondents were represented as well in the Inbound Logistics “Top 50 Third-Party Logistics Providers.”

Also available for live demonstrations in the TMW booth are each of the company’s extensive portfolio of transportation management solutions, including the next-generation 3PL and brokerage solution powered by 3Gtms. This solution simplifies end-to-end logistics processes, implementation, onboarding and training. Its proprietary planning and execution algorithm enables real-time reaction to changes in customer orders and shipments and allows review for cost savings opportunities. Comprehensive rating capabilities provide extensive tools for carrier negotiations and flexibility in customer pricing.
