Observations from Tom Weisz, President & CEO TMW Systems

Dear Fellow Executive:

Have you seen our new advertising campaign?  It's been a few years since we last advertised in the trade magazines, and we thought it was time to publicize your success. The ads feature some of your peers: Joe Cowan of Cowan Systems, LLC; Jim VanHefty of Schneider National Bulk Carriers; Thomas Toton of Cardinal; and John Hazenfield of Manfredi Motor Transit, all talking about how they have improved their businesses with help from TMW Systems. For example, at Schneider, the billed ratio has improved by 6 percent. Cardinal is adding $100 million in revenue without increasing overhead expenses. Manfredi has reduced empty miles by 7 percent. And at Cowan, they use ResultsNow(tm) by TMW to monitor their performance results daily, not 15 days after the month closes.

Can you say that your operation has realized the same sort of dramatic, quantifiable benefits from TMW products? If so, would you like to tell the industry about it? If you have a success story to tell, we'd love to hear it and possibly use it in an upcoming ad. We're still looking for a few more examples of customers who can show how they have measurably improved their businesses with some help from our products. Let me know your story. We'll select the top five to feature in future advertisements. The theme of the advertising campaign is "Numbers speak louder than words." Anyone can talk about how great their software is. We'd rather show actual results from some of the partnerships between TMW Systems and our customers. We believe in going beyond just selling software to understanding our customers' needs. We can develop solutions for those needs that help our customers improve their operating performance. Your needs are at the heart of our product development process. We're proud that by partnering with our customers, we've been able to contribute to their success, and we want to share that with the world. The full page ads are running throughout the year in Transport Topics, Transport Technology Today (T3) and Modern Bulk Transporter.

If you cannot honestly say that you've had similar, measurable results from TMW products, please give me a call so we can work together to achieve these kinds of benefits for your operation.

IT & Business Process Conference
I'd like to bring to your attention a new industry conference designed to help transportation executives enhance their business processes through information technology. The IT & Business Process Conference, hosted by T3 magazine, will be held June 8-9, 2004, in Chicago. Its extensive educational offerings include case studies, interactive roundtable discussions, and first-hand stories from fellow professionals at fleets such as Schneider Bulk Carriers, J.B. Hunt, and Bekins. Greg Smith, global executive for freight and logistics at IBM Corporation and Jay Franke, director of the NWU Transportation center at Northwestern University, will give keynote addresses. Seminars will cover the following topics:

- Dispatch/operations
- Customer support
- Accounting/finance
 -Mobile workforce management
 - Activity-based costing
- Asset management/tracking
- Distribution/TMS/WMS
- Report process/business intelligence

There will be plenty of networking opportunities and chances to learn more about technology solutions offered by the 20 exhibiting companies. TMW Systems is the select partner for the event. We will be exhibiting, and I will be the final speaker on June 9. I'm planning to talk about the importance of monitoring your business's key performance indicators on a regular basis and how you can use an ERP system and ResultsNow to detect trends, define your company's focus and ensure that everyone on the team is working in the same direction to meet clearly identified goals.

This is truly a one-of-a-kind event, and I hope you can attend. For more information and to register, visit www.truklink.com/ITBPC, call (847) 462-5787 or e-mail e-mail ava@pracom.come-mail ava@pracom.com.

See you there!

Regards,
Tom Weisz
President & CEO
