TMW SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES CONTRACT WITH FL MOORE & SONS

When FL Moore & Sons needed a system to handle their rapid growth, they decided on TMW Systems, the leading developer of enterprise solutions for the North American trucking industry. Located in Virginia, FL Moore was founded in 1996, and is family owned and operated. The company is a flatbed truckload carrier that operates in the Eastern half of the U.S., and specializes in flatbed steel hauling and oversized loads. It was FL Moore’s growth from 5 trucks and 7 trailers to 50 trucks and 65 trailers that necessitated their need for better tracking processes than the manual system that was in place provided. According to Todd Moore, Vice President of FL Moore & Sons, he believes that the TMW system will help his company operate in a more efficient manner. “I think we’re going to be more efficient,” said Moore, “and we’re going to have more time because we’re not going to be following paperwork from one end of the office to the other. It’s going to free up a lot of my time for planning.”

A key reason that FL Moore chose TMW Systems when reviewing software options was TMW’s flexibility. “We have to be able to adapt to changing billing information,” said Moore. “There are often outside costs and accessorials that we have to add to a bill, and a lot of these run-of-the-mill dispatch systems don’t allow you to change much. The TMW systems offers us the ability to better track these charges, and the option to change and update bills in order to make sure we’re reimbursed properly.”

Moore has realized the need for an upgraded system for several years, and he’s anxious for the “go live” date of the TMW system planned for October, 2003. “I think the system is going to be a real tool that we can benefit from,” said Moore, “and I think the benefit is going to come in time savings. For what we do in a day, I expect to see that time virtually cut in half.”
