Quality Assurance Analyst

Position Purpose Responsible for ensuring the quality of delivered products; the timeliness of product delivery; designing and maintaining test cases; maintaining his/her own test environment; performing testing tasks on in-house software products; making sure the product and specifications meet company standards and quality management limits. Additionally, the candidate will assist development and technical support staff with software installation problems and client-reported issues. Position Accountabilities · Responsible for the quality of delivered products · The timeliness of product delivery · Maintaining his/her own test environment · Performing testing tasks on in-house software products · Writing and maintaining test scripts · Making sure the products meet company standards, design specifications, and are within total quality management limits · Assist development and technical support staff with software installation problems and client reported issues · Mentor and support team members · Participate in team meetings Minimum Requirements · Minimum 2 years of hands-on, manual testing experience · Ability to read and interpret business requirements and technical documents · An eye for detail · Effective written and verbal communication skills · Ability to work both independently and with a team · Self-starter with strong multitasking ability · Ability to set up and maintain a test environment · Knowledge of transportation industry (hands-on experience an asset) · Familiarity with standard testing philosophy and procedures · Experience with DB2 SQL and basic database maintenance · General familiarity with relational databases Preferred Skills · Experience assembling SQL patches and executables with complex dependencies · Experience with TestComplete or other testing tools · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience · SQA certifications (CQIA) · Payroll and/or accounting experience Physical Requirements · Frequent and close visual work at desk or computer · Frequent sitting and working at desk · Frequent verbal and written communication with team and other business associates by telephone, correspondence, or in person · Consistent lifting of displays, folders, files, binders and other objects weighing up to 20 lbs. · Frequent opening and closing of heavy file drawers · Frequent walking and standing · Occasional driving of automobiles Travel required: 5% TMW Systems Inc. is an equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected status or characteristic.
