In today's highly competitive environment, forward-thinking transportation services companies are encouraging employees-- including managers--to pursue training that directly improves personal and organizational productivity, particularly when options for distance learning are available to reduce travel costs and time away from the office associated with traditional classrooms.
TMW Systems is now launching an expanding series of free or low-cost online 'webinars' designed to improve our customer's knowledge about the software products they already use and to introduce them to new capabilities that can help further reduce costs and administrative labor, streamline processes, improve management visibility and keep bottom lines healthy. First is a new series of free online webinars designed for customers of its Asset Maintenance software products. In a compact 45-60 minute seminar, attendees can re-acquaint themselves with core components and extended modules for the software they use regularly and gain exposure to valuable new capabilities.
Similar sessions will be available soon for TMW's popular Optimization products including IDSC ExpertFuel, IDSC Netwise and IDSC TripAlert, covering topics such as optimal Fuel Purchasing and Bid Processing. (Schedule to be announced shortly.)
TMW Systems added the webinars to augment its successful TMW University (TMWU) program of classroom-based software education. While the free webinar sessions will continue to focus on product overviews, the popularity of these online offerings has lead to plans to offer modified classroom content from TMWU online in longer formats as well.
TMW is also extending its online educational offerings to include content from some of its valued partners. These sessions are designed to introduce customers to valuable integrated solutions for cost containment and improved profitability.
For senior management training, TMW has teamed with the TRINCON Group to offer learning of value to bulk and truckload carriers. TRINCON, based in Columbus, Ohio, holds regularly scheduled online classes to help foster better management practices, especially regarding activity-based cost accounting and centralized management for operational efficiencies.
TMW University, the ongoing education program that now serves all TMW product lines, has scheduled classroom and a full range of online courses that offer advanced training or beginner immersion in enterprise transportation software, optimization software and asset maintenance technologies. For the convenience of customers located across North America, classes are offered online and at TMW offices in Cleveland, Dallas, Durham, Indianapolis and Vancouver.
