Shaw Transport Selects TMWSuite
Platform Provides Robust Functionality, Superior Integration Capabilities

Beachwood, Ohio – Dalton, Ga.-based Shaw Transport Inc., which maintains one of the country’s largest private trucking fleets for Shaw Industries Inc. – the largest manufacturer of carpet in the world, has selected TMWSuite^TM from TMW Systems as the enterprise management platform for its 300-tractor linehaul division.

“We feel that TMW is moving forward at a quicker pace than the rest of the industry,” stated Alan Hundley, Assistant Controller – Special Projects for Shaw Transport. “TMWSuite will enable us to automate and streamline back-office functions and eliminate numerous manual processes as well as improve asset utilization and achieve better visibility to trailers and drivers.”

Shaw Transport chose TMWSuite to replace an outdated legacy system based on the platform’s robust functionality, usability and superior integration capabilities with PeopleNet and Shaw’s other supply chain systems.

“We wanted to leverage our investment in PeopleNet and have the capability to alter dispatch assignments while drivers are still en route,” explained Randy Black, e-Business Manager for Shaw Transport. “We’ll be able to send drivers their next assignments through TMWSuite’s TotalMail module.”

Shaw Transport is also implementing ResultsNow by TMW^TM, a web-based, performance-monitoring application that will provide real-time reporting capabilities – ensuring that the fleet has the most up-to-date data on its Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

“[ResultsNow] will allow us to make quicker decisions with better data,” said Mitch Land, Director of Shaw Transport/Transportation Services, adding that the company will no longer have to wait for month-end reports to gauge performance.
