TMW SYSTEMS EXCEEDS Q2 GOALS, Adds 18 New Customers in Q2
Beachwood, Ohio — TMW Systems, the largest provider of enterprise management software designed specifically for the trucking industry, reported a strong second quarter that exceeded projections and set several new company records for the quarter according to David Wangler, president and chief executive officer. Second quarter GAAP revenues were up 18.5% compared to the same quarter last year. Total new software license bookings were up 35% over the same period last year. GAAP services and support revenues were up 22% over the same period last year. The company added 18 new customers during the quarter.
“What is most significant about our new customers is that more of them are large-fleet customers,” said Wangler. “Word is spreading quickly through the industry about the quantifiable results customers have achieved with our innovative solutions, and more companies are choosing TMW.” At these growth rates we are rapidly increasing our share of the market and are growing faster than the overall market because we are winning share from our competitors”. The company’s active customer list is now 570 carriers, private fleets and logistics companies.
TMW set a record for the first half of the year with 56 customer go-lives, representing almost the total number of go-lives for all of 2005. “We also continued to invest in new products and resources to deliver business solutions to our customers including the addition of 21 new employees this quarter.” adds Wangler.
In new product offerings, Q2 brought two development efforts to the forefront. First, TMW became a U.S. Customs and Border Protection ACE (Automated Commercial Environment)-certified software supplier. TMW’s first e-Manifest Program customers have already been certified by the CBP agency. Earlier in the year, DriverSeat, a web portal built for drivers to access company information and stay connected to their family and friends while on the road, was launched. During Q2 multiple customers implemented the portal and are already seeing improvements in driver retention.
A sampling of some of TMW’s new Q2 customers reveals a wide range of business goals factoring into customers choice of TMW solutions:
• JDC Logistics, a 700-truck national carrier headquartered in Franklin, WI, provides freight transport to the automotive, printing and paper industries. JDC Logistics turned to TMW to improve its competitive advantage. Explains Tom Handziak, chief financial officer, “In our situation, the implementation of TMW Suite allows us to address all of our information technology related disadvantages in a single effort. TMW Suite’s architecture and design are guiding and at times, compelling us to use the best business processes and logistical methods in the industry.” And, says Handziak, “This was one of the easier strategic decisions we have had to make in quite some time.”
• For OIX, a Kansas City, MO based Intermodal / general freight carrier, continued growth and the delivery of new business services required a highly efficient, scalable and flexible solution. “As we outgrew our current system, we looked for a solution that would satisfy our needs in both the truckload and intermodal segments of our business. We are confident TMW has the most comprehensive system in the market to meet our diverse requirements,” says company president David Orscheln.
• According to Judy Kalmikov, president of Evans Dedicated, a bulk, petroleum hauler based in Los Angeles, CA, the TMW solution it chose improves its ability to serve its customers. “As our customers continue to demand more, we need to be positioned to offer more services and value to them. TMW allows us to do that,” she says.
